David Lorber
David J. Lorber is the principal of David J. Lorber & Associates, P.C., a law firm based in Setauket, New York. He concentrates his practice in estate planning, probate and estate administration, real estate, modifications and foreclosures, business law, personal injury and litigation.
His vast legal experience and background in financial planning, real estate and business consulting has provided him with the practical and hands-on experience needed to provide guidance and the best advice to his clients across several practice areas.
Mr. Lorber started his career as a consultant, providing guidance for advertising and marketing firms. He also operated his own consulting firm before entering the field of law. He gained insight and experience in financial planning while working as an investment advisor with North Shore Financial Group in Hauppauge and later with Forest Hills Financial Group in Bohemia.
In addition to his estate planning experience, Mr. Lorber has an extensive background in real estate, working for several real estate investment firms. His responsibilities included acquiring and selling residential, commercial and distressed properties, as well as financing commercial and residential acquisitions.
Mr. Lorber earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his Juris Doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane Law School at Hofstra University. He was a member and director of the Kiwanis Club of Patchogue and the Kiwanis Club of Patchogue Foundation.
